Equitable Digital Access

How do all students have equal access to technology?

Teachers and students in the classroom today are surrounded by a wealth of opportunities to expand and extend the learning process.  Technology and digital access give teachers extra resources to enhance the learning.  Many students come to school already familiar with digital devices, however, there are other students who do not.  The classroom may be the only place that these students have access to technology, so it is vitally important to ensure that all students are given equal access to the appropriate technology and devices.

Classroom Technology Rules

It is important for students to understand the rules that pertain to the use of the digital equipment in the classroom.  Technology can used in whole group instruction, small group instruction, as well as independent activities.  Students should be given clear and concise directions on how to take care of the equipment and proper use of all of the devices in the classroom.
